Anything is Possible – My Son’s a Queer (But what can you do?)

When the stage is your living room, anything is possible. From Christmas shows to Disney parades and everything in between, My Son’s a Queer (But what can you do?) is an autobiographical look at the childhood of Rob Madge, a non-binary performer from Coventry. Developed out of home videos shared by Rob during lockdown, before premiering at London’s Turbine Theatre and then moving to the Edinburgh Festival, Norwich Playhouse and now London’s Garrick Theatre, the show is an honest, moving and powerful look at what it means to have an active imagination whilst growing up.

We talk about our thoughts on the show, exploring growing up in the 1990s and how everyone needs to see this show – which has something for everyone, even if you’ll be sobbing one moment and laughing out loud the next.
