Yes, that is us Waving Through a Window as we take a close look at one of the most critically acclaimed shows of the 21st century, Dear Evan Hansen. For our fourth podcast, we discuss our thoughts on the show’s West End run, including some of our highlights and lowlights of the book, music and staging. Coinciding with the closure of the show on the West End, we also consider how recent events have affected the longevity of the show, and consider whether casting a 27 year old man as a 17 year old teenager is okay. There’s also a big existential question: are you really remembering someone if you an invent a new life for them rather than highlighting the one they truly had.
